The weekend! We headed out to the hammocks state park for a tram ride to see all the things we coudl see, sadly the tram was booked up by the time we arrived, so we walked instead! We saw an Alligator.... Piggy from Lord of the Flies

And some really big trees!

After our walk, We visited the little museum at the park. It was the most fascinating museum ever! It was about the size of a large cottage, and housed a wealth of information about FDR and his civillian conservation corps. So we thought we would try our hand at a little millitary life! We didn't last long:)

Then home for Ice cream!

Ahh, our only night out! We finally snuck out for dinner just the two of us:)

Saturday we headed out to Solomon's castle.
It is the most bizzare quiant little place ever seen! It is a local artists home and shop and B&B and resturaunt and moat and park all wrapped up into one!
He makes all of his peices out of recycled junk, motorcycle chains, gas tanks, wood etc.
It was very interesting and the food was great!

The red ants however..not so good!

Sunday, after church,
We went to lake June for a tour of a national scrub park. Where we found the scrub jay and some other cool things!
like creepy vultures!
Yep that's our little man:)
