Earnest
I just like this word. It holds so much imagery for me. A child trying to earnestly learn to tie his shoe. Or hit that first pitch, or catch that butterfly. To me it is child-like effort. No restraints no one telling them they can't they will just give it their all to reach their goal and the will feel proud for it when they get it.
That is the way my husband loves me and our kids. Earnestly.
And again I am humbled and grateful for the gift I have in him.
