I don't have any pictures... again... blast that dial up! I do however have some interesting tidbits on our teen aged daughters life and opinions that I thought you might be interested in!
French! Yes our home schooled daughter has started her french course, and what better way for her to learn french than with art! Ron's cousins wife has very graciously offered to do a french immersion art class with our excited little teenager! While I get the joy of playing with her little boys and my own, of course! It is the perfect arrangement:) She is also mulling over the idea of an exchange program.
Pecans! Yummy deadly little things! One of our many Christmas traditions is for us women to go out for dinner at Christmas time, usually to one of the new restaurants in the area. This year we went back to an old favorite down in Barrie, the fish bowl! A seafood restaurant that our daughter chose, strange as she dislikes seafood ALOT, but the desserts obviously had won her over last time.
She ordered her turtles cheesecake and bit into her very yummy looking pecan and instantly began to complain. now if you now our precious girl, you know that is not really the unusual part:) What was unusual was her tingly and itchy tongue! So after I made her stop eating her pecan ( yes I had to make her stop eating it, she was enjoying it that much...sigh)
we finished our desserts in peace and promptly called the Dr the next morning, to confirm she is indeed allergic to pecans, possibly walnuts and not likely almonds.
Twin Lakes Secondary school. Here is a picture of the high school she wants to go to. It offers Spanish and a ton of different tech courses, ranging all the way from computer graphics to hair styling and cosmetology!
She really enjoys the guidance counsellor from here and she knows a few older students here which makes the appeal so great. Well that and as we found out she could still be bussed to this school!
So we are endeavoring to pray about it for the weekend and come together Monday to decide if we will apply for our transfer or check out the last high school in our area; aside from the catholic high school that is.
So that is the news in the life of Ronnie.E
Tune in next time and maybe we'll have some pictures up!
