Well it's been fun!
3 weeks and we are still waiting to get back into our house. For the many of you who have left messages on our machine... let me fill you in!
This past winter our furnace, after 30 or more years, decided it had had enough! So we supplemented with electrical heat. We were warm and comfy. And apaprently VERY unsafe.
This spring our fridge stopped work one morning. After checking the fuses, and finding nothing, we called in the pros. And thankfully we did. As it turns out we had over worked our electircal system. One of our outlets was actually smoldering and melting the paneling around it.
In the words of our electrician, we are very lucky to have made it through the winter without a major fire. We were very close to losing the house and possibly our lives.
Reality check to say the very least.
We prefer to beleive that it was God's timing and protection. As it turns out it was all work we intended to do later on. I mean years later on! God fast tracked us.
So for the past three weeks, we have had to live at my parents house. While recovering from surgery, we have had our whole house rewired, a new furnace and hot water tank put in.
Pretty exciting but tiring. We are ready to go home. today! Sadly, we can't go home even yet.
But better to be put out and have the job done right, than have them rush.
So until we can go home, enjoy some pics of our past few weeks:) Here is our little guy showing off his new summer jammies!

Our boys decided to hav ea quick picnic one day when we stopped by to check out the progress...notice the table they are using!!
Where did that ball go?!?!
Ahhh, it is officially summer when we can get out fishing! Does any have a kids left handed reel?!

I'm sorry about the whole house saga and that it has stretched out so long. But I'm sooooo glad there wasn't any scariness happening there over the winter!!! Wow.
Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!
I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end but how annoying and scary in the meantime!! Enjoy being by the lake while you can!!
