Just a few thoughts on Halloween
We don't generally celebrate Halloween.
Our kids enjoy dressing up, but we can do that any old day!
Our kids enjoy candy and I am sure that is why the bulk barn does so well:)
So once you take out that "high" of dressing up and candy.
there really isn't much left to enjoy!
But as an adult I look at these kids who are fascinated with dressing up
or pretending to be devils, or witches.
They enjoy it because they can "get away"
with so much more as they pretend to be bad.
How often do we as adults pretend to be something we are not to get what we want?
Do we "dress up" to get ahead?
Maybe we should take Halloween as an opportunity to clean out our own closets.
Get rid of those persona's that don't really fit
with who we are anymore
We are a new creation in Christ.
The Bible says to put away the old
What a great annual reminder!
Thanks Halloween
For candy and closet cleaning:)
